Jeff Bajayo: How I'm Kicking Ass As A Poor College... →
jeffbajayo:
If a college student with a full plate can, in his spare time, start a company, there’s no excuse for the rest of you. I have like no money in my bank account, I’ve received no funding, and I’m managing to start something. So if you want to fix the US economy, please just get out of that couch and move your ass. I’ll be honest in saying it’s hard, but worth it.

Overcoming the Lack of a Hulu API
zaschell:
Today I’m building a web app that provides a live listing of all available Criterion films. There are two places (mainly) that stream these movies: Netflix and Hulu.
Doing searches against Netflix is very easy, thanks to their incredible openness and the APIs they make available. I specifically use their OData provider—all I have to do is structure a URL which contains a query. I...

William Wilkinson: My Stupid Gun App →
willw:
February 3rd 2009 I had a dumb idea. This happens a lot, but this time it seemed too easy to ignore. A Russian Roulette simulator for the iPhone, load the bullets, spin the barrel.
In about two hours I cutout a $6 stock photo of a revolver, spent $3 at Sound Dogs, designed the load screen,…

Would you choose a good Movie to watch or a good...
Well this isn’t very fair, because I normally do both at the same time. I guess to make the question easier on myself, I’d have to eliminate one form of media completely from the world. Books would win out over video, because the stories last longer.

where would you like to work?
Somewhere were I could learn as I worked. That’s about my only real goal with work. Been thinking about Facebook, recently, I think that would be a pretty interesting place to work. Then again, I’m open to anything.

Late
He rose up; before he even opened his eyes, he let out a scream, in self-disgust, “Oh, Fuck!” As quick as it was for him to say this, he was on his feet and grasping for the clothes that lay around the room; his eyes still heavy. He grabs a pair of pants, off of the arm of a chair in the corner of the room, a shirt that lay beside him in the bed, just seconds before, and jumps into the...

Is it a good security measure to change the file...
It will protect you from general users, and prevent most applications from opening the file, but there is still a header or footer in the file that determines it’s association, so it’s still reversible, if you look at the file, generally in a hex editor, so no if your worried about people that have some mid-high level computing experience.
Steganography, is interesting, it’s a...

I would probably go with touch. My hearing, smell, and taste are above normal, at least from what I’ve noticed. My eyesight isn’t the best, but with corrective lenses I can see at 20/10.

On an average how many websites do you visit...
Hmm, now-a-day’s it is probably around 50-100. Had you asked prior to last November, it would have been close to 800, the main difference is I’ve cut back on stumbleupon usage, and started using a feed reader, previously I only used a feed aggregator, and visited every individual link.

Names & Titles don't Matter
This is ultimately something I feel that needs to be expressed by myself. Last night, my friends questioned my own personal respect in allowing someone to disrespect me. I told them that I didn’t mind as the person in question was heavily intoxicated and doesn’t really like me anyways. They however tried to tell me that I did care, ultimately more disrespectful that anything...

Did you graduate college?
No, I made it 1 semester and realized I didn’t like the institution, the economy was going to shit, and the night before my exams(14/18) my back went out, I managed to salvage only 6 credits for the semester, passing my Engineering courses and Philosophy. This set me up to where I needed to get a 3.8 and 18 credits during my 2nd semester in order to keep my scholarships, I wasn’t able...
